The connection between the valve and the pipe
The way in which the valve is connected to the pipe
(1) Flange connection: Flange connection is one of the most common pipe connection methods. Gaskets or packings are usually placed between the flanges and bolted together to form a reliable seal. Such as flanged butterfly valves. (2) Union connection: The union connection is strengthened on the flange by installing the union rubber pad, and half a set of embedded wear-resistant rubber is added to the socket to form a good seal between the flange seat and the valve seat. (3) Welded connection: Welded connection is a way to directly connect valves and pipes seamlessly, which is usually suitable for high temperature and high pressure. This type of connection has high strength and sealing properties. (4) Clamping connection: Clamping connection is a method of fastening the valve and the pipeline, and the valve and pipeline components are clamped together through fastening rods, clamping blocks and other components. (5) Threaded connection: Threaded connection refers to the way in which valves and pipes are connected to each other with threads. Threaded nuts, copper buckles, and other components are usually used for connections. Such as lug butterfly valves. (6) Clamp connection: Clamp connection is to firmly fix the connection points between the valve and the pipeline through one or more clamps to form a tightly sealed structure. Such as our factory’s GD series butterfly valve.
Factors to consider when choosing the right connection
(1) Pressure and temperature: Different connection methods have different adaptability to pressure and temperature, and the selection should be based on the actual working conditions.
(2) Ease of disassembly: For pipeline systems that need frequent maintenance, it is more appropriate to choose a connection method that is easy to disassemble.
(3) Cost: The material and installation cost of different connection methods are different, and you need to choose according to the budget.
